Mercola Seal & Fix clear silicone is a general-purpose silicone elastomer adhesive and sealant, suitable for bonding, sealing and insulating. It bonds metal, wood, stone, plastics and glass, and is also used for installing sanitary fixtures, aluminium frames and glass panes. It is flexible, mechanically stable at high and low temperatures, and has antifungal properties, but is not resistant to intense sunlight.
It is also used for repairs at home and in the workshop, DIY and hobby projects, filling joints and sealing cracks. Application surfaces must be dry and clean, free of dust and grease. Any residue can be cleaned up within 5 minutes. It becomes touch-dry in 3–10 minutes and can be painted after 2–3 hours, while full bonding is achieved in 36–48 hours, depending on the coating thickness and temperature and humidity conditions. Avoid contact with strong acids, bases, oxidising agents and reducing agents.
