  • The fungicide Luna Experience SC is a mixture of the new active substance fluopyram and tebuconazole.
  • Fluopyram inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking the transfer of electrons in the respiratory chain of Succinate DeHydrogenase (complex II – SDH inhibitor). Fluopyram acts by inhibiting the germination and growth of spores as well as the development of mycelium.
  • Tebuconazole is a systemic fungicide of the DMI group (triazole subgroup), with preventive, therapeutic, and eradicative action against a wide range of fungi (Basidiomycetes, Ascomycetes, Deuteromycetes).
  • At the biochemical level, it acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol at the C-14 demethylation site (Demethylation Inhibitors - DMIs).
