Review this product
  • This is much better than the classic pop filters with the long flexible neck.

Its strong point is the arm itself: metal, heavy, and with joints that are all adjusted by a single central screw. You put it where you want it, tighten it, and it stays there. Users on Thomann single it out for exactly that reason — several mention that once adjusted, it does not move easily.

The mesh is large, 157 mm, double nylon, and does the basic job of a pop filter properly: it reduces the “p”, “b”, and the rest of the plosives without needing to stick the microphone at awkward angles.

I also like that the clamp fits from 15 to 35 mm and can be mounted either on a boom arm/stand or directly on the edge of the desk. And the interesting thing is that the system is not exclusive to this specific pop filter — the arm can also be used with other 3/8” compatible accessories.

The only real drawback is that it is heavy. The metal construction comes in at about half a kilo, so I would not put it on a cheap or weak microphone arm. That is where the setup can start to sag.

For me, though, especially next to a PodMic, it is a very good choice. It is not just a mesh in front of the microphone; it is a sturdy, adjustable system that you set up properly once and then forget about.

Manufacturer-listed specifications: steel construction, 157 mm filter diameter, double nylon mesh, central adjustment mechanism, and 15–35 mm clamp.

And this is one of those accessories that you appreciate more after you have gotten tired of fixing every five minutes a pop filter that decided on its own to stare at the ceiling.
