The MA 1 is a comprehensive hardware/software tool for acoustic measurement and room correction specifically for Neumann studio monitors. The developed algorithms ensure the best possible listening quality in any environment. The system consists of a separately calibrated Neumann measurement microphone and corresponding software for Mac and PC. Neumann's automatic monitor alignment is available for all kh-line DSP-controlled stereo systems. The software guides the user step by step through the measurements and analyzes the corresponding listening environment. The resulting correction data is stored directly in the DSP-supported monitors.

Hardware requirements:

  • 1 pair of KH DSP monitors or 1 KH 750 DSP subwoofer in combination with a pair of analog (non-DSP based) KH speakers
  • Neumann MA 1 measurement microphone
  • Computer (Windows 10 64 Bit and macOS 10.13, 10.14, or 10.15)
  • Audio interface with balanced analog input featuring 48 V phantom power
  • 2 balanced analog outputs or digital AES3 output (only with the KH 750 DSP)
  • Network switch

Software requirements:
