Theater for children and young people has surpassed the stage of insignificance and has now established itself in the consciousness of both minor and adult audiences as a distinct form of artistic creation. Although its systematic scientific approach has already borne fruit and enriched the relevant Greek bibliography, it still presents gaps and deficiencies that this study attempts to cover.

Resulting from the collective scientific work of both new and established researchers, under the supervision and guidance of the editor, the independent studies in this volume address with a research spirit and original approach aspects of the subject such as communication codes and the use of music, the presence of ancient Greek literature and folk tales, the sociological and pedagogical dimension of the genre, and more.
