While I adore Alkioni Papadaki, I was disappointed because the book consists of separate unrelated stories and not just one, something that I detest and believe should be clarified somewhere. I will not read it, I will take it to the library for others to read if they want. I simply wrote it here to inform you before purchasing it. Also, the letters are huge in order to fill the 240 pages. Disappointing.

Even in the depths of hell, there are always beautiful landscapes that you can discover if you wish, allowing your soul to rest. Even at the edge of a cliff, when you find yourself there, you can hold onto a cyclamen and save yourself. As long as you turn your gaze and see it.

Even when the wild waves hit you and around you are the dogfish, ready to swallow you, there is always a shell beside you that hides God within it. Hold it tightly in your fist, and it will guide you to the shore you dream of.

Even when the north wind has ravaged your tree of life, look around at the birds singing in the bare trees. It is life trying to enchant you with its song. Listen to it.

Prolific, inventive, talented, with a modest and silent career, she has never stopped sharing her innate lyrical and unconventional style with the reader. Reading her, you feel the soul that her pen conceals, a characteristic that makes her readers stubbornly loyal to her novels. She writes about whatever touches her soul, and with the power of her pen, she touches ours...
