Small and compact in size, making it very practical for transport. Quite powerful for its category with a quality woofer that delivers in the lows and mids, and a piezo horn for the highs. It features a built-in amplifier with a mixer where you can connect an external source (CD, DVD, Computer, Tablet, etc.) and 1 microphone. The external source can be connected either with a balanced signal (Canon XLR) or with an unbalanced signal (2 RCA). The microphone connects with a 6.3mm jack. Additionally, it has a balanced Line Out output for connection to another device or to another active speaker.
In terms of controls, the SPJ-800A is fully equipped, as it has independent volume controls for the source and the microphone, as well as Bass and Treble controls. It is completed with 2 LED indicators showing its operation (Power) and the amplifier's Clip, as well as a main On/Off switch.
The speaker features versatile handles for easy transport, a socket at the bottom (Φ 35mm) for a tripod or wall mount, and the option for tabletop support.
