Over 10 professionals from the mountainous area contributed their expertise to this project.

This map is truly an essential tool for anyone traveling in the area. It does not replace the Zagori 1:50,000, which includes descriptions of the trails on the back.

Two areas of Northern Pindos and two sides of the map. On one side are the steep, gleaming limestone mountains, the deep gorges, and the stone villages of Zagori, and on the other, Vailia Kalda, enclaved within a labyrinth of dark mountains and wonderful forests.

The 46 traditional villages of the Zagori region have become famous even beyond the country's borders. Before they became accessible via paved roads, the villages were only connected by mountain paths and stone bridges; some of these cobbled streets still exist today and can be found on the map, such as the Skala of Vradeto.

Zagori is renowned for the Vikos Gorge and Drakolimni, located in the heart of the Vikos-Aoos Geopark of UNESCO. The most famous peaks in Tymfi are Gamila, Astraka, and Goura.
