This new edition of Kreutzer's 42 Studies is based on forty years of teaching experience. The indications for the technical execution of these studies, especially the fingerings given for the left hand, differ significantly from those of the current edition by Peters, which mostly adheres to the original. The fingerings and bowings that have been carefully studied and tested aim to satisfy the requirements of musical logic and sonority and will be valuable not only for those attempting these classical studies for the first time, but also for others who are revisiting them with the desire to analyze the technical problems they present.
