The QNap TL-R1200S-RP expansion unit adds storage capacity to a compatible QNAP NAS, as well as to Windows or Ubuntu computers and servers. It features 12 bays for 3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s drives and connects via an SFF-8088 or SFF-8644 cable using the included QXP PCIe card.

The connection supports four SATA 6 Gb/s channels per cable, with a total transfer rate of 24 Gb/s. The 250 W power supply is redundant.
