A lens that has been working continuously for 6+ years on a nex vg30 and since last year on an a7iii and a6300. Reliable, fast, with 3 speed settings and a top-notch servo zoom, good stabilization. A very good choice for video and cinematography, especially with mirrorless cameras that excel in autofocus, although the manual focus has a very good response and feel. It has also been used for photography with manual zoom, which, with clear image zoom x2 (for extra reach) in raw quality, gives satisfactory results even in printing. In mirrorless cameras, it works steadily at f5 or f5.6, provided that your setup has been worked out before shooting (positioning, framing, composition, full zoom out to subject, follow subject, etc.) so as to give you sharpness and stability in exposure (f5 steady with f6.3 at full zoom have a big difference!). In daylight conditions, you can be at ease at f6.3 and above, wherever you are. This lens has been handheld for 60% of the shots, with a corresponding cinematic aesthetic, working flawlessly in all conditions (all seasons, day and night), despite not being weather-sealed. The zoom barrel is solid like a bat in telezoom. It may fit and balance on a gimbal like the DJI Ronin SC, but not perfectly. The only issue is with backfocus, only in video cameras and only when doing long static shots, for example, video timelapse on a tripod. I hope I helped, and for anyone considering getting a wide-angle and telezoom lens, this is the way to go, as its servo and build quality are top-notch in the market.
