Fuse holders and DC fuses
They protect the PV elements from reverse currents (currents in the opposite direction) and it is recommended to use them when the system is designed and operates with more than two strings. The fuses, which have an appropriate response characteristic to DC current, should be selected at 1.25 times the short-circuit current of the PV elements used. Fuse holders should not be used as load switches.
