Upgrade your technique, speed, and accuracy with the Dunlop 482R.73 Tortex Pitch Black Jazz III picks. Combining the legendary, versatile Jazz III shape with the unmatched durability and classic attack of Tortex material, they offer the perfect balance of control and response for every guitarist. The 0.73mm thickness provides the right flexibility without losing the necessary stiffness for clean single-note lines and fast solos. Their special matte surface in elegant Pitch Black color ensures a secure grip without slipping from the fingers, even during the most demanding performances. Made from durable Delrin material, they deliver a clear, bright sound and excellent wear resistance, making them an essential accessory for every modern musician.

The Legendary Jazz III Design in Tortex Material

The Dunlop 482R.73 Pitch Black picks bring the perfect combination of two iconic Dunlop worlds: the compact Jazz III shape and the durable Tortex material. Their smaller size brings the hand closer to the strings, offering unparalleled precision, exceptional flexibility, and immediate control feel with every stroke. Their sharp tip reduces friction with the string, allowing the pick to glide effortlessly, making them ideal for fast solos, sweep picking, and complex technical performances.

Matte Texture Pitch Black for Stable Grip

The surface of the Pitch Black series features the famous, specially treated matte texture that offers an exceptionally stable matte grip finish. This rough feel prevents the unwanted slipping of the bow between the fingers, even during long live performances or intensive rehearsals where hand sweating is inevitable. The stability it provides allows the hand to remain relaxed, giving you complete control over the dynamics of your playing.

Ideal Thickness 0.73mm & Clear, Bright Attack

With a diameter of 0.73mm, this pick offers the golden mean between flexibility and stiffness, allowing both comfortable rhythmic playing and clear, sharp solos. Made from high-quality Delrin, the pick is distinguished by its great wear resistance and ability to keep its tip intact over time. It produces a clean, bright, and distinct tone with excellent attack, highlighting the frequencies of your instrument in every musical genre.

I have been using these specific pens for at least 5 years, they do not slip from my hand, they have a very good sound on folk-acoustic guitar, especially the thick ones from 0.73 - 1 millimeter. I use 0.50 for mandolin and bouzouki. I have compared it to a tortoise shell pick and they have very small differences in sound.
