In this book, the problematic of Pedagogical Science is briefly developed from a systematic perspective in six chapters. First, the cognitive subject and basic terminology of Pedagogy are defined, and the structural characteristics and basic conditions of education and learning (pedagogical process) are determined.
Next, the aims of education are examined, as well as the means used to achieve them, and the behavior of parents, educators, and adults in general towards children and adolescents. A subsequent thematic unit highlights the social context in which the pedagogical process is embedded and specifically deals with the settings (institutions and establishments) where it takes place. The last chapter of the book refers to research methods and methodological issues in Pedagogical Science.
