The positives are that it has a truly beautiful panel which is stunning for its price. It has such deep blacks that you would think it has local dimming. It is fantastic for the average user.
That's where the positives end.
1. When playing content above 1440p, it stutters with complete playback crashes if you try Netflix or Disney+ which are locked at the best setting (4K HDR). The processing power is so poor that the image cannot be utilized without a TV Box or console.
2. The fact that you get it for Android TV with Assistant, and you cannot control it from Google Home is at least funny. Classic Xiaomi with tragic connectivity problems. Assistant works (with a bit of lag), but since Chromecast doesn't work, it is completely useless (it rarely becomes "available to cast" once every three months).
3. It freezes and disconnects from WiFi, or at least that's what it says because the playback doesn't stop. Maybe it's a buggy push notification, who knows...
4. You need external speakers, no discussion. It lacks bass.

In conclusion, in high resolution as is, with a box or for gaming, yes. For its price, you can't expect something better. I wish it was a bit more expensive and had a bit more RAM...
or if Chromecast worked...

It was purchased for the living room for €300 six months ago. I am completely satisfied so far.

The image quality is very good, the colors need a little adjustment and they look very good, good performance and satisfactory black. The clarity is quite good, not the best but for its price, it is very good.
Due to its LED, the TV does not have the best viewing angles, but realistically, you will not have a problem in your living room. Up to 30°, the image does not change much, from there to 45-50°, the colors deteriorate slightly but the viewing is satisfactory.
I read about problems with light bleed and ghosting, but after 6 months of daily use, I have not encountered any issues.

The sound is quite clear, it has enough volume although you won't need it, I have not used it above 40. The bass is not anything special but satisfactory for a living room TV. It was a pleasant surprise as I expected to need speakers for this price, but the sound quality was very good, even in gaming.

The build quality is sturdy, the panel seems well placed. I cannot comment on the stand as I use a separate wall mount. So far, the screen has endured a small impact and a few times on the side (when moving the stand) and nothing happened.

The software is the classic plain Android TV, in my opinion, much better than the custom software of other brands. Applications work normally, television, games. I also installed additional applications outside the Play Store without any problem. The Wi-Fi sometimes disconnects, but a restart fixes it. Channels play normally, as well as hybrid ones.

The remote control is standard, with all the necessary buttons.

There is no equivalent TV in other brands for less than €400, let alone €450.
We do our research before buying and we know what we are getting, we buy according to our needs.
If we receive a defective product, we ask for a replacement.

In summary:
Very good colors and viewing angles, decent speakers and sound clarity, classic Android software, and honest build quality. The most value for money 4K TV at the moment

It was purchased on 17/2/2023 for everyday use in the living room as the previous one (9 years old LG webos 42") had stopped working. I wanted a relatively affordable Android TV and because I am a fan of Xiaomi (especially their mobile phones), I decided to go for this one despite the bad reviews...
Let me start with the picture quality, which did not satisfy me on live channels as the image was blurry (even in HD) and the same goes for the PS3. The refresh rate is satisfactory, but it has poor viewing angles. It is placed about 3 meters away from the couch.
The sound is nothing special and the settings don't make a big difference.
The build quality is not the best, with legs that make you think they will break at the first gust of wind.
Compared to the previous TV, the difference in picture and sound quality is like day and night.
Obviously, it has a much better menu and more options due to the software and manufacturing year.
I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants crystal-clear picture and sound, and of course, I wouldn't buy the TV again without seeing it in person first

Purchased on 03/0.4. Completely satisfied. I can't say that I have noticed the issues they mention about viewing angle and sound. The sound is satisfactory for a 50 square meter space where the TV is located. The viewing angle is also good. Now, whoever gets a TV and watches it from an angle, I recommend getting angular binoculars. At a 45-degree angle, the viewing is still very good. The hybrids didn't work at all until I connected it to Ethernet and changed the DNS on the router (installed Kodi), and as soon as I closed it and opened it again, the hybrids worked on all the stations that support them. The sound through HDMI is very good (on a soundbar). Tips: disable automatic updates from the Play Store. Manually update the apps you want. If you update Miracast and have the TV connected to Wi-Fi, it will display a message that Wi-Fi is disconnected (so I didn't update it at all and it works perfectly). I deleted Netflix, Prime Video, and all the other apps that were installed when the TV arrived. Only Kodi, YouTube, Mozilla, and VLC. Simple and functional. If you want to install games, Facebook, and Instagram, it's better to get a Playstation and a computer.

Update for those who continue to write that the hybrids don't work. If the TV is connected via Wi-Fi, the hybrids don't play. They only play when there is an Ethernet connection

Nice picture and of course good sound, you can see well from the side because it has an IPS panel...
The internet works flawlessly, also supports miracast... the microphone picks up easily and the remote control is Bluetooth.

The TV is truly worth it... and in 4K it shows its quality...

My first 43-inch TV. I cannot compare it to other 43-inch TVs, but compared to the 32-inch Full HD Samsung, LG, and Thomson TVs that I have worked with so far, it is a tremendous upgrade to the television experience and at an excellent price.

Each of us has different needs and interests before making a purchase. I will try to provide a detailed review like the ones I like to read before buying a TV, which help me a lot. Some of what I will write may not be useful to you, but it may be useful to someone else. I may omit some other elements that you may ask about because I did not research them, I hope another review will help you with that.

The transport packaging was very minimal. There were only two pieces of foam in the top and bottom of the box, and the screen was essentially protected by a cardboard attached with tape. I think this is a bit dangerous during transportation. Imagine a TV box that, if squeezed in the middle, the finger will go inside at the point of the screen because it is not protected in the middle, only on top and bottom. There is a sticker from edge to edge on the screen that needs to be removed very carefully to avoid unpleasant surprises with the frame and the TV's glass. The 4 screws in the packaging are for the TV's legs. If you want to mount it on the wall, you will need to make sure you have the appropriate screws that fit the TV's holes along with the mount you will purchase.

When you plug the TV into the socket, do not try to turn it on from the remote control, you will not succeed. For the first time, you need to press the button in the middle, below the screen. Connect it to the internet immediately and let it perform the software update for as long as it takes (the file is over 1 GB).

The picture, from what I have seen, looks impeccable. In the video downloaded from the internet, the motion of the image is smooth, vivid, unlike the 32-inch TVs where it always seemed like the frames were "jumping". For the more tech-savvy, I am talking about videos in progressive scan (Digea and ERT play in interlaced, which the 32-inch TVs prefer more than progressive).

It also plays the terrestrial channels just as well, especially the High Definition ones, but even in the ones that are in SD, it does a very good upscaling. The TV performs an automatic channel search. In case you receive signals from 2 different broadcasting centers with different frequencies, it saves the channels from the frequencies that have a stronger signal, not the ones that come first in the band, as some LG TVs do - naively. There is a *very deeply hidden in the menu* option for manual search in the frequencies, by pressing the SET button and then "more settings". There, you can see the signal level of each frequency.

In terms of USB playback, I would like to have more options (pause, forward/backward buttons) that are not available in the default program, however, you have the ability to download applications from the PlayStore (VLC, Kodi) and play files from them.

The HBB platforms (Ertflix, MegaPlay, Open HBB, etc.) work normally. The Ertflix application from the PlayStore also works flawlessly. However, there should be incompatibility with the ANT1 application on Google Playstore because it does not appear in the search for download, as well as it does not display for download neither the Mozilla & Chrome browsers so navigation can only be done through the "mama's" browser.

Netflix is pre-installed on the TV, no need to search for it. There is also a dedicated button on the remote control, as well as for Amazon Prime.

I tried some 4K material on Youtube, it's great.

The remote control works with Bluetooth and not with infrared! This means that even if you aim off-center and not directly, the TV will receive the command. Both the remote control and the TV itself have microphones, so you can give it commands (e.g. for search or to open Netflix), or when you are searching for something on the internet instead of typing it, you can do it with your voice.

What the average viewer who wants it just for the terrestrial channels should pay attention to is that although they do play, they come second: When you open the TV for the first time, it will default to the multimedia menu (Netflix, etc.) and switching to antenna channels must be done by pressing the Mi button. The same will also happen when the power is cut or you unplug it from the socket, it will open again in the multimedia menu and if you want to switch to channels, you will have to press the button. On the other hand, if it doesn't lose power and you put it on standby, the next time you open it, it will open from where it was playing when you closed it.

In other words, if you want it for your grandparents' living room, I think you will confuse them with this choice, look for something simpler. If you want it for yourself, and you want an economical but smart device with a very good image, and that can also connect to the internet, don't think about it too much, get it! It is truly what we call Value for Money.

After a week of use:
The picture is very good when you are in front of or approximately in front of the TV.
On the side, it loses quite a bit to a lot of its quality.
One thing that made a very bad impression on me is that until today, at least 4 times, it has frozen completely. It does not respond to the commands of the remote control or even the on-off button on the device itself.
I had to unplug the TV from the power outlet (specifically, I disconnected the cable from the back of the TV) to restart it and make it work.
It also started displaying information on the channels.
The hybrid channels were lost, but it was not due to the TV but to the setting I had changed.
I will connect it with an Ethernet cable for the internet instead of using WiFi, maybe that's what's causing it to freeze.
I think it offers much more and especially nice picture quality compared to its price (478€).
Update 7/12/21:
Since I started using an Ethernet cable, it has not frozen again.
Something similar had happened with a Xiaomi smart box that I have.
Overall, if I exclude the fact that the wonderful picture quality is lost when viewing from the side, it is an absolute value for money purchase.
During its initial operation, it does not turn on from the remote control, but from a button on the device.
Excellent Xiaomi remote control, it changes channels even if you are in another room.
When Xiaomi releases an electric car, I will get it (if I can, of course).

I bought the 43" model on 24/11/21 for €328 after extensive research because I wanted it to have HDR10 for my PS4 and future use with PS5 or any other console.
First of all, I should mention that I previously had a simple Turbo-X TV that was 5 years old, so I am definitely satisfied with this purchase, but I do have some issues that I didn't particularly like, as well as some things that I did like, of course!
Firstly, I should mention that I also bought a LG 50" Full HDR Dolby Vision TV for the living room.
So, the Xiaomi TV was very easy to set up and install. I had it up and running in 8 minutes, I scanned channels, adjusted the picture settings, and connected my Google account so that it automatically connects to Wi-Fi and pairs with my phone. I was ready to enjoy it!
First of all, it has perfect viewing angles, fantastic colors, and it's quite user-friendly as long as you have some knowledge of technology!
As for HD channels, especially when there's a good (mostly foreign) movie with good resolution, it looks amazing.
For Greek channels, it's average to good for the new ones, and for the regular Greek programs, news, etc., it didn't impress me much. This is because the processor reduces the resolution from 4K and reproduces its own pixels to fill in the gaps, resulting in a less vibrant image compared to foreign movies, etc.
Also, when changing channels, the screen freezes for half a second (only in that moment) and then plays normally. (It's not something significant, but I have to mention it.)
So, if you want it for simple household use and to watch Greek TV shows or those Greek soap operas that air at night, I wouldn't recommend it. It's better to get a simple full HDR TV from Samsung or LG, which are among the top 5 manufacturers and will give you better picture quality.
As for the PS4, the picture is simply magical!
However, when I go to the video output settings on the PS4 and select "automatic" to enable HDR, it says "The TV does not support HDR," and that's when I encountered the first issue!!
I searched the internet, YouTube, etc., and even the videos didn't have better results until I found a video that explained that by disabling 2 out of the 3 HDMI ports, HDR can be enabled on the PS4. And it actually worked, even though I had lower resolution afterwards (at least for what I'm currently playing), and I switched it back to the original settings since the picture was perfect. I was just playing around with the TV and PS4 settings and capabilities.
It was all very strange and random, and I can't figure out why it happens!!
With the LG TV that I mentioned, I connected the PS4 and it immediately recognized HDR. It even displayed the HDR logo on the screen, and I think the picture quality was slightly better compared to the Xiaomi TV, and the reasons are:
First, because it's an LG, of course!
Second, because the game resolution is not 4K or 8K, so the Xiaomi TV doesn't perform as well as it should.
So, if you have a PS4 Pro or PS5, you will have the picture and resolution you want. If you have the regular PS4, you will still have a great picture, but with the issue I mentioned regarding HDR, which I also explained how to fix. It's not difficult (even though I struggled quite a bit to find the solution).

Edit 22/12/21: I tried Netflix, watched a couple of TV series with 3 and 6 seasons, around 3-4 movies, and 2 documentaries, so now I have a more comprehensive opinion...
Movies that are UHDR, 4K, or Dolby Vision play wonderfully, and I would rate them 8 or 9 out of 10, only because I have the LG TV as a comparison, which simply performs better.
I hope I helped, and I tried to be objective and detailed.

Edit: After 1 year of heavy use on my PS4, Netflix, YouTube, and regular TV, I haven't encountered any issues. I don't know what goes wrong for others who leave negative comments, but personally, I am quite satisfied so far.

However, my opinion remains that with an additional 50 euros, you can get more quality devices, so don't get stuck on the 50-euro option.

I bought it from Greece for 478,+60€ with a 5-year warranty. Overall, I am satisfied. The hybrids work fine. Considering its price, I consider it a very fair television. Just like most Xiaomi products. I am looking for the best possible settings to optimize the image performance. It surprised me when some people mentioned that the sound is not good. The sound is actually fine. The picture quality is also acceptable. It is a complete proposition considering its price. I don't know if there is a better option in terms of price-performance ratio in this category. It has everything and it's worth it. Having both the Xiaomi projector and the television, I can confidently say that the combination of the two leaves me completely satisfied. It does it all & it's worth it. Okay, Xiaomi is not among the top 5 TV manufacturers...at least not yet. However, I saw perfect picture quality on both full HD channels and 4K movies. The sound is powerful and clear. The menu is based on Android TV, which allows it to play apps perfectly for movies, music, and even subscription-based IPTV.

IMPORTANT: You can easily arrange the channel lineup in a simple and understandable way, and equally important, you can rename the channels as you like or prefer. Something that my friend's Sony doesn't do!! Of course, you will need to do the latest update to avoid any issues.
Very good also in hbbTV for channels that support it, such as ERT, Open, Skai.

The remote control is Bluetooth, so you don't need to point it towards the TV :)
And it has a microphone for voice typing.
A positive aspect is that it has plenty of space for any necessary applications. 11GB out of the 16 it has are available for the user, so calculate 10GB to be used. More than enough for a TV.
And the RAM is sufficient to prevent any lagging.

Tip: By long-pressing the POWER button, you can choose to restart or enter sleep mode.
It's nice that the frame around the TV is so thin that it's like it doesn't exist at all.

I recently bought it for my country house.

It was mounted on the wall at a viewing distance of 3 meters. The picture is impeccable, easy on the eyes, has vibrant colors, and works perfectly at an angle. The sound is good and relatively loud (if you want cinema-like sound, buying additional equipment like a soundbar is a must).

Testing it with 4K content showcases the true capabilities of Dolby Vision and is truly impressive. Watching free channels in FHD 1080 resolution is significantly different from SD and you immediately notice the difference.

The smart functions are fast and without any glitches, etc. It runs on Android, I installed Stremio by downloading it from the official website. ERTFLIX plays flawlessly. Chrome cast worked quickly with my phone, for added convenience, download Google Home on your phone.

Updates were done as soon as it connected to the internet.

There was concern, due to the limited space, about getting the 32'', but luckily I didn't. The 43'' is comfortable and extremely enjoyable for the viewer.

The price in relation to the quality and performance of the television is excellent! VFM!
