Selenium is a trace element that acts as a cofactor in the action of glutathione peroxidase (SOD), an enzyme responsible for the body's antioxidant protection. Additionally, it is a key structural component of proteins (selenoproteins) that also play an antioxidant role. However, certain selenoproteins are involved in the proper functioning of the thyroid and immune systems, as well as in cell division.

Dosage

  • 1 vegetable capsule per day with food or as directed by your doctor

Precautions

  • If you are taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs or have a bleeding tendency, consult your doctor before taking this product. 
  • Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
