Δεν ειναι τυχαιο που ειναι τοσο φθηνο εναντι γνωστων brands. Ανυπαρκτη ψυξη - με ενα ανεμιστηρακι 20x20 που "ουρλιαζει" το καθιστα εντελως ακαταλληλο για 24/7 χρηση.
Χωρις να παρεχει λειτουργιες S.M.A.R.T στον host υπολογιστη οποτε βαδιζεις στα "τυφλα" για την υγεια των σκληρων σου.
Αν ψαχνεις για αξιοπιστο DAS δες τα qnap - ολα τα αλλα ( κατι icy box και κατι αλλα χαζα οπως αυτο εδω ) ειναι για περιστασιακη χρηση τυπου το κουμπωνω κανω τα backups μου κ τελος - και ΑΝ κανουν και για αυτο. Αν υπηρχε 0 αστερι θα το εβαζα
I bought it two years ago intending to use it for file backup. I put in two hard drives, copied the files I wanted, and then put it on the shelf. In the last two years, I connected it once or twice for a few minutes and then back on the shelf. Yesterday I decided to transfer the files to another drive and use this one for storing music files. After about half an hour of transferring, the case got hot and the data transfer stopped. I opened the case, the drives were burning hot! One drive worked fine. The other "appeared" on the computer but wouldn't open. The only option was Format. When it cooled down, I formatted it and the drive seems to work (???).
I connected and started the transfer again. After a few minutes, one of the drives got very hot. The fan in the case could be heard working but when I put a lit lighter next to the air outlet, the flame barely moved. This means that the fan is not working properly or is very weak.
I don't know if the rest of the series have the same problem, but I personally won't buy from the same brand again.

Συνέδεσα και άρχισα πάλι την μεταφορά. Μετά λίγα λεπτά ο ένας δίσκος ζεστάθηκε πολύ. Ο ανεμιστήρας που έχει το κουτί ακούγοταν να δουλεύει αλλά βάζοντας εναν αναπτήρα αναμένο δίπλα στην έξοδο του αέρα, μόλις που κουνήθηκε λίγο η φλόγα. Αυτό θα πει ότι ο ανεμιστήρας δεν δουλεύει σωστά ή είναι πολύ αδύνατος.
Δεν ξέρω αν τα υπόλοιπα της σειράς έχουν το ίδιο πρόβλημα, εγώ πάντως δεν ξανα-αγοράζω από το ίδιο.
