Although it looks plastic, it seems to be durable. It opens relatively easily by sliding the lid down. I put a 2.5'' HDD in it and it seems to support it well. The cable looks good although it is relatively short, about 40cm. It connects immediately to the PC.

Unfortunately, it does not reach the full speed it should provide. For example, a disk that reads at 500mb/s in the case plays at 100-200mb/s. So you should keep that in mind. I bought two because of the low price, maybe I will see something different soon because I need to transfer very large files

I gave it 3 stars (and I might change it) because the case I received worked for 5 minutes. Since then, no matter which disk I tried it with (Windows 10, MacOS, Xbox One) in USB 3.0 ports, they don't even detect the 3 hard drives I tested. Of course, Verbatim's support, the store, and this platform served me promptly to replace it, so I will come back after trying the new piece. Update -> I forgot to mention it. It was replaced immediately and without asking for the faulty one back. The new one has been working perfectly for months now.

Quality verbatim, no tools needed as the case is drawer-type, I inserted laptop disks and they were recognized without any problem by the computer.

Those who have performance issues need a setting that is done automatically on Linux and Mac, but manually on Windows.
