Its design is based on the YAS/YTS 475 model and includes:
- Improved low B-C# connection for better tuning.
- New octave key system from the 62 series.
- Body with a gold lacquer finish.
- Auxiliary high F# and front F keys.
- Adjustable thumb rest.
- Keys covered with polyester.
The YAS-480 comes with a case and an AS-4C mouthpiece.
