Please read my setup because it might work better for you.

Tldr: 4/5 due to minor inconveniences such as not returning to native resolution when the second output is disconnected and not functioning in passive mode (without power) when it is single link (one output). Otherwise, it seems good. If you simply want to switch outputs one at a time, go for an HDMI switcher! They are cheaper and work without power.

Metallic exterior, small size, and illumination for connections and power flow are always welcome. Easy to use, no buttons, etc. Now, about my setup. I have two monitors and a projector. The main monitor (1920x1200) is connected along with the projector (1920x1080 non-native) through the splitter to the HDMI port of my graphics card. The second monitor with lower resolution is connected via an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter to the DP port of the standalone card.

When the splitter is not powered, I don't have a signal on the main monitor, so unfortunately, you cannot use it as a passive device, without power (maybe, if you manage to do it, leave a comment on how). The positive thing is that when it is powered and the projector is off, it passes the 1920x1200 signal as a single link. Now, when I turn on the projector, the splitter automatically reduces the resolution to the minimum of the two, which is 1920x1080, which inevitably changes the resolution of the main monitor. I don't consider this a negative point, as according to my research, in order to have two sources with different resolutions simultaneously active, you would need to invest in something more. However, when I turn off the projector, unfortunately, it doesn't return to the original resolution of the main monitor, but remains at 1080p, and both the Windows and Nvidia display settings do not have an option for the native 1920x1200. Then, I have to unplug the splitter from the power outlet and plug it back in, and it automatically reverts (of course, if I shut down the PC, it returns to the default resolution without any issues).

The reason it suits me is that I can have both the monitor and the projector running simultaneously without needing to unplug and switch the HDMI cables from the PC, which wears out the ports (I imagine it's more than unplugging and plugging in the power outlet again). I turn on the projector once a week, so it doesn't cost me much in terms of power. If I find a way for it to function without power for one output and return to the original state after disconnecting the projector, I will update.

I believe if you have two monitors with the same resolution (1080p, as I haven't tested what happens with 4K), you will be satisfied. As for the durability of the splitter, we will see, I will provide an update as soon as I encounter any issues.
