  • I have had this soldering iron since 2018 and I still use it mainly for amateur use at home for various soldering of LED strip wires, even for desoldering components from a board or even for soldering or repairing. You really can't expect anything more from such a soldering iron. The tip needs to be cleaned with a damp sponge so that it doesn't reach a point where the solder won't stick to the tip, and then at the end of the work, a clean with a sponge, a little fresh solder, and a re-cleaning, and it's ready, so the tip will never wear out. If it reaches a level where the solder doesn't sit on the tip, just take a bit of sandpaper, lightly rub the tip, heat up the soldering iron, and put a little solder, and it will be immediately restored; I have done this twice so far and it has worked. Also, there are replacement tips, but I remember they used to cost as much as the soldering iron, around 15 euros, so I don't know if it was worth buying a new tip. It is also good to get a stand for the soldering iron that has a sponge, not something expensive, just simple, to remove the excess heat from the soldering iron since if you leave it for too long, it heats up the handle to the point where you can't hold it.

At first, I thought there was a problem with the soldering iron as the tip wasn't heating up and the solder wouldn't melt, but it turns out that you need flux (see videos on how to do it) instead of buying new ones. Now it melts perfectly fine, even the harder Cu solder and the regular 60/40. I also forgot about it on the plug for over 8 hours and there was no problem. It has a convenient handle that doesn't get hot and also a plug socket (although the cable seems strong and durable). It is considered a good brand, 4 stars because there will surely be better ones. For the price of 16.50 that I bought it for, I believe it's a good purchase. I also bought a 5 euro one, but it burned as soon as I touched it to the floor

The watermelon is terrible. The glue doesn't melt first of all.
