Silk espresso pots (also known as moka pots in American English) require skilled baristas. Luckily, I had experience and knew how to make proper espresso with a moka pot. It's not difficult, but it's not obvious either.

Using the same exact process, I made equally good espresso as with my old, classic moka pot. Here, of course, the secret is that if you want something closer to a ristretto, you should remove the pot with the crema as soon as you start to see it. It's also good to completely close the fire. If you want to make two good espressos, you have to be quick and remove both pots very fast, replacing them with something else.

Beyond that, let's be honest, I bought it mostly for the appearance. And the appearance is awesome!
