  • Its advantage is that it is powerful, reliable, and does not transmit many vibrations to the operator.

As for the disadvantages, its weight is 17.3 kg with the 2-meter shaft (I am also uploading a photo from the manual but I weighed it myself) and 18.3 kg with the 2.7-meter shaft.

However, it doesn't feel like 17.3 kg. Maybe because the strap is good.

The Cifarelli SC 650 (I have one of those too) is at 15.7 kg.

(The weight for both machines is with all accessories and fuel, except for the harness.)

A second disadvantage is that if you use the longer 2.7-meter shaft, which is sold separately (not from Echo), the machine becomes front-heavy (understandably), and to lift it and place it on the branch each time requires a lot of strength. You can't fasten the strap further forward to rebalance it. The machine is perfectly balanced, but for the original 2-meter shaft.

Apparently, because Stihl and Cifarelli come with longer shafts, Echo also decided to offer the option for a second shaft, but in my opinion, Echo has not studied the machine's behavior with longer shafts. Maybe it's a modification by local importers/dealers.

The long shaft is not convenient; I am forced to use the other one.

I give 5 stars because Echo's engineering seems good, but not the modifications.

The machine is very powerful, with its only disadvantage perhaps being its weight (around 17 kilograms), which makes it not as comfortable. Also, the hose may be a bit small (2 meters), like all similar machines.

In terms of performance on heavily loaded trees (olive trees), it can remove up to 80%. Not a single branch remains on the tree
