I have had it for over a year and I can say that it is worth the 180 euros I paid. At first, I had a problem with calls on messenger, Instagram, and Viber, but after the software update, they fixed it. The battery may have lost some performance after a year of continuous use compared to the first day I bought it, but it is completely normal. The difference is almost negligible, and the fact that it has fast charging completely outweighs it as a flaw. The photos come out quite good, but don't expect amazing results, especially in low light. However, the video quality for this camera is exceptional. Overall, it does not freeze or have any significant issues like restarting on its own or overheating with heavy use, as other older models of the company or models from the same year of other companies did. I did a lot of research before buying it and compared it to several devices. I RECOMMEND IT!!!

Well, exactly one year after purchasing this particular phone, I can confidently say that I almost wasted my money (€220). Except for the fact that its battery is very good and after 1 year it still holds up like a rock, in all other aspects it is very weak for what you pay. From the first day I got my hands on it, I have to say that I was slightly disappointed, as I upgraded from the Redmi 5 Plus, which I had bought for €130, and I didn't see almost any difference in anything positive (I did see an improvement in the camera, but nothing extraordinary, and out of curiosity, I played a game and it ran better), only in negatives.

Of course, since the phone was still quite new on the market, I had patience and waited for updates. But Xiaomi has one of the worst software out there. Truly, from 2018 until today, that I have Xiaomi phones in my hands, I have really hated their software, from storage issues to constantly asking for permissions to open files even if you have already clicked not to show that message again. Also, there is a huge problem if you have both Wi-Fi and data turned on for a certain period of time. If you make the mistake of turning off Wi-Fi, it's over. The device needs a restart because otherwise your data will never open. That's it from me, I will definitely switch to another company, Xiaomi has been erased from the map for me.

Mainly, it's great as it can play any game you want without any problems. The issue is that it heats up quite easily while playing games like Call Of Duty Mobile. The cameras are perfect and the speakers are also good. The battery will last 8 to 9 hours a day or more depending on what you do, for me it mainly lasts 10+ hours a day. The new MIUI is great, but after a few hours or a day, it will be updated to MIUI 13. Very good smartphone.

The phone was purchased on 27/8/21 from a large store, for exactly 250 euros. Mixed feelings, but enough to make me frown mainly with Xiaomi as a company (I recently had a serious issue with the cloud, where I completely disabled it, deleting all the content) and not so much with the mobile model.

Let's start with the basics: The first defeat was MIUI. Coming from Huawei (Lite 9 & P20 - devices before the American ban on them), I was amazed at the differences between EMUI and MIUI. Those of you who had Huawei phones know well how their software is (or at least, it was before the ban, I suppose...?) light years ahead of anyone else.
One example that bothered me a lot to understand what I'm saying was that you would save a number in your contacts AFTER making a call, and even though you had already saved it with a proper name, when you simply went to type it (not search for it in contacts), it would show you the contact but without the name, because you made the call before saving it! Something that was fixed in the latest major update that just happened this week!! Cheap stuff, where the device is full of such things.

Moving on: The performance is very good - especially now that it's playing below 200 euros. However, there are many bugs that are not related to the capabilities. For example, you turn off the data, but when you turn it back on, it doesn't come back: Oops, a restart to make it work again. Messenger, which you open, switch tabs, and come back shortly to see it, and it doesn't show anyone online because it doesn't refresh: Another restart in the app. What is this?

The cameras? Average. I'm attaching photos. During the day, everything looks good. At night, the camera shows. And the second photo is the best out of the 9 identical shots (with flash and without & zero zoom in both).

Great screen.

Great battery. Apart from heavy usage, the phone is constantly a hotspot (I have unlimited plans and I use them to the fullest), connected to at least 3 devices. Constantly. I don't know if you realize how much it increases the wear and tear on the device. And yet, it lasts a full day. Yes, it will wear out much sooner. I know it and I'm waiting for it, so I finally have an excuse to change it.

The issue is that when that happens, I have ruled out Xiaomi as an option. Xiaomi has a long way to go to compete. Yes, it is value for money if you only look at product specs and performance. But that's not all you need as a consumer. It's the properly structured software. It's the after-sales service. It's the support.
For example, I'm still waiting for the 17 password reset emails I requested for the cloud. Since June.

This mobile phone is amazing for simple everyday use that my mother wants. I did some tests, I was very satisfied with the money I spent and I highly recommend it.

The camera remains negative, requiring good lighting for taking photos and videos, while at night it is quite mediocre. My mother is chasing her grandson to take dozens of albums, but the result is not as good as we would like. Anyway, it was not purchased for the camera.

Equally negative is the sound, classic Xiaomi that "cuts" the sound quality at high volumes and is annoying if you have it at maximum. Only big people, like parents, can hear it at full volume. I had to create high-quality ringtones on the computer, from mp3 songs they chose.

The screen is better than mine, I have a Black Shark 2, with very vibrant colors and good viewing angles. VolTE is a very good advantage, as my mother noticed it herself and mentioned it to me.

Moms, for €220 you can buy a good phone. For young children who are into music and photography, I'm telling you the truth, don't bother, look elsewhere.

The phone was purchased on 27/8/21 from a large store, for exactly 250 euros. Mixed feelings, but enough to make me frown mainly with Xiaomi as a company (I recently had a serious issue with the cloud, where I completely disabled it, deleting all the content) and not so much with the mobile model.

Let's start with the basics: The first defeat was MIUI. Coming from Huawei (Lite 9 & P20 - devices before the American ban on them), I was amazed at the differences between EMUI and MIUI. Those of you who had Huawei phones know well how their software is (or at least, it was before the ban, I suppose...?) light years ahead of anyone else.
One example that bothered me a lot to understand what I'm saying was that you would save a number in your contacts AFTER making a call, and even though you had already saved it with a proper name, when you simply went to type it (not search for it in contacts), it would show you the contact but without the name, because you made the call before saving it! Something that was fixed in the latest major update that just happened this week!! Cheap stuff, where the device is full of such things.

Moving on: The performance is very good - especially now that it's playing below 200 euros. However, there are many bugs that are not related to the capabilities. For example, you turn off the data, but when you turn it back on, it doesn't come back: Oops, a restart to make it work again. Messenger, which you open, switch tabs, and come back shortly to see it, and it doesn't show anyone online because it doesn't refresh: Another restart in the app. What is this?

The cameras? Average. I'm attaching photos. During the day, everything looks good. At night, the camera shows. And the second photo is the best out of the 9 identical shots (with flash and without & zero zoom in both).

Great screen.

Great battery. Apart from heavy usage, the phone is constantly a hotspot (I have unlimited plans and I use them to the fullest), connected to at least 3 devices. Constantly. I don't know if you realize how much it increases the wear and tear on the device. And yet, it lasts a full day. Yes, it will wear out much sooner. I know it and I'm waiting for it, so I finally have an excuse to change it.

The issue is that when that happens, I have ruled out Xiaomi as an option. Xiaomi has a long way to go to compete. Yes, it is value for money if you only look at product specs and performance. But that's not all you need as a consumer. It's the properly structured software. It's the after-sales service. It's the support.
For example, I'm still waiting for the 17 password reset emails I requested for the cloud. Since June.

This mobile phone is amazing for simple everyday use that my mother wants. I did some tests, I was very satisfied with the money I spent and I highly recommend it.

The camera remains negative, requiring good lighting for taking photos and videos, while at night it is quite mediocre. My mother is chasing her grandson to take dozens of albums, but the result is not as good as we would like. Anyway, it was not purchased for the camera.

Equally negative is the sound, classic Xiaomi that "cuts" the sound quality at high volumes and is annoying if you have it at maximum. Only big people, like parents, can hear it at full volume. I had to create high-quality ringtones on the computer, from mp3 songs they chose.

The screen is better than mine, I have a Black Shark 2, with very vibrant colors and good viewing angles. VolTE is a very good advantage, as my mother noticed it herself and mentioned it to me.

Moms, for €220 you can buy a good phone. For young children who are into music and photography, I'm telling you the truth, don't bother, look elsewhere.

I have had it for over a year and I can say that it is worth the 180 euros I paid. At first, I had a problem with calls on messenger, Instagram, and Viber, but after the software update, they fixed it. The battery may have lost some performance after a year of continuous use compared to the first day I bought it, but it is completely normal. The difference is almost negligible, and the fact that it has fast charging completely outweighs it as a flaw. The photos come out quite good, but don't expect amazing results, especially in low light. However, the video quality for this camera is exceptional. Overall, it does not freeze or have any significant issues like restarting on its own or overheating with heavy use, as other older models of the company or models from the same year of other companies did. I did a lot of research before buying it and compared it to several devices. I RECOMMEND IT!!!

Well, exactly one year after purchasing this particular phone, I can confidently say that I almost wasted my money (€220). Except for the fact that its battery is very good and after 1 year it still holds up like a rock, in all other aspects it is very weak for what you pay. From the first day I got my hands on it, I have to say that I was slightly disappointed, as I upgraded from the Redmi 5 Plus, which I had bought for €130, and I didn't see almost any difference in anything positive (I did see an improvement in the camera, but nothing extraordinary, and out of curiosity, I played a game and it ran better), only in negatives.

Of course, since the phone was still quite new on the market, I had patience and waited for updates. But Xiaomi has one of the worst software out there. Truly, from 2018 until today, that I have Xiaomi phones in my hands, I have really hated their software, from storage issues to constantly asking for permissions to open files even if you have already clicked not to show that message again. Also, there is a huge problem if you have both Wi-Fi and data turned on for a certain period of time. If you make the mistake of turning off Wi-Fi, it's over. The device needs a restart because otherwise your data will never open. That's it from me, I will definitely switch to another company, Xiaomi has been erased from the map for me.

However, I was disappointed with the power button. 2-3 days after purchase, it started making noise when pressed. It hasn't shown any problems in its functionality, it just gives me the feeling that it's a low-quality mobile button that costs 100 euros less, not 200. How long it will last will be shown in the future, as I have had it for about 10 days. I will update my review after a reasonable period of time.

Update: 3 months later, it hasn't shown any problems even though I have pushed it to its limits.
