José Triana sets the action of the work in the 1950s, just before the Cuban Revolution. Through their play, three teenagers gradually become aware of the peculiarities of the family structure they live in every day.
They cannot endure the tense atmosphere at home, as they participate in most of the family scenes. Therefore, they plan to overturn the established order to reach a more humane life. The way Triana chose to involve the three characters, Beba, Cuca, and Lalo, in the process of the crime is unique.
The parents were never actually killed. The crime exists only in the minds of the three siblings. The crime exists only in the game. In this work, I wanted to dismantle the anachronistic elements, the spasmodic relationships between parents and children. To destroy the myths and ghosts that follow people every day, to bring humanity back to critical thinking, creative energy, and free living.
