The collaboration of the Tibetan Master Djwahl Khul and Alice A. Bailey, which lasted for over thirty years, from 1919 to 1949, resulted in the publication of a body of teachings on the Ageless Wisdom, which the Tibetan predicted would be most significant for the groups of students who would work during the latter part of the twentieth century.

Humanity is passing through a transitional period between the outgoing Pisces Age, governed by the sixth Ray of Devotion and Idealism, and the incoming Aquarian Age, governed by the seventh Ray of Order and Organization. As assistance to men and women striving to prepare for a service of discipleship during this period, the Tibetan suggested the preparation of a compilation of texts from all his statements regarding the seventh ray found throughout all the books he wrote with Alice Bailey.

The seventh Ray of Ritual Order is one of the seven rays of energy that demonstrate the seven qualities of Deity, and thus has a sevenfold effect on matter and the forms that exist throughout the universe. In the age that is rapidly coming into being, the seventh ray will be the energy that predominates for approximately 2000 years. Therefore, it is imperative for students of the Ageless Wisdom to gain a deeper understanding of the seventh ray, its nature, and its potential.

In fact, as a forecast in the Letters on Esoteric Meditation by Alice Bailey, the teaching on the seventh ray will form a part of the educational program for the esoteric schools of the future.

As humanity gains greater ability to respond to the energy of order and organization of the seventh ray – the ray of “ritualistic propriety” – a patterned beauty and rhythm will begin to emerge in all aspects of living in the physical field.
