For the money, it's just right; I haven't had any problems so far. The chainsaw starts on the first try with a good mix of oil and chain, it doesn't disappoint. I also noticed that it is very powerful; it has some muscle. I'm talking about the PC4100

I have had it for three years, used for pruning and cutting (it has cut over 10 tons). So far, the ignition spark is strong with plenty of cutting power. I agree with a previous review regarding the side screws that hold the anti-vibration springs. The left one came off after pruning a walnut tree. I found it, screwed it back in, but it tends to unscrew, so I secured it with some glue since it’s plastic, and so far it hasn’t caused any problems. I bought it for 90 euros on Black Friday. For the money, it’s incredible. I should also add that when it’s off, a little oil leaks from the oil pump. I’m talking about the pc4100.
Regarding the oil pump, I’ll add that: like all new chainsaws, it comes set so that one tank of gasoline is used up along with one tank of oil. You can "control" this with the oil regulator on the side. I reduced it by half a turn, and the slight leak it had when off stopped. Of course, the oil flow on the chain remains satisfactory.

If it didn't have some flaws, it would definitely have 5 stars! For 99€! The most serious problem was that the side caps, which are the shock absorbers to keep the head in relation to the handles in the center, come off easily (one came off without me realizing it). It was rectangular, and the trigger didn't work properly. The consumption seems a bit higher than the branded ones, but it doesn't lack power according to its cubic capacity. Later, it will definitely need more branded items like a chain blade and spark plug. Finally, the well-known issue with the chain lubrication pump seems to remain, meaning it leaks when it's off. It seems that Nakayama has made strides forward with this new series, especially in the engine

I could never complete its assembly because the lid wouldn't snap on at all, so I returned the machine. I never went through the process of getting another one. The 4 hours I wasted are enough.

    Build quality, better than expected.
I'll go straight to what someone would like to know:
    1) The engine works perfectly and has a lot of power.
    2) It's lightweight for its power and cuts logs that I cut today for 1-1.5 hours. I let it idle for 15-20 minutes and then worked it at half throttle so as not to strain it too much, but still I easily did my job quickly.
    Very satisfied.

I would like to point out that as soon as I opened it and assembled it, I replaced the spark plug (Champion brand) with an NGK. I used Castrol 2T oil for a 3% mixture (30ml per liter) and good ATF oil for the chain (around 7-8€ per liter). The only thing I want to change is to slightly lower the idle, because even at idle, it takes a while for the chain to stop, it spins very easily, obviously due to the good quality oil I used and because it is new, unlike other chainsaws I have seen, where the chain even strains you a bit with your hand.

10/10 from me for now and I hope it will remain trouble-free.

    • Value for money

  • For the money, it's just right; I haven't had any problems so far. The chainsaw starts on the first try with a good mix of oil and chain, it doesn't disappoint. I also noticed that it is very powerful; it has some muscle. I'm talking about the PC4100

  • I have had it for three years, used for pruning and cutting (it has cut over 10 tons).

  • If it didn't have some flaws, it would definitely have 5 stars!

  • I could never complete its assembly because the lid wouldn't snap on at all, so I returned the machine. I never went through the process of getting another one. The 4 hours I wasted are enough.
