Description

Description

The Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Kingston FURY Beast provides a speed of 3600MT/s, with CL17 and 8GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 RAM has (XMP 2.0) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 2.0): 3600 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 2.0): 17-21-21
  • Voltage (XMP 2.0): 1.35V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 34.1mm, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • They do their job properly
    Nothing more
    Nothing less..
    They are recognized immediately
    XMP works right away
    No issues..
For anyone who doesn't want to pay a kidney for RGB and the like, they should prefer these…

They have been working with a Ryzen 5 5600G here for 3 years and have not caused any crashes. I would buy them again for a budget system

For now, it's fine. I synchronized XMP G1 3600 17/21/21 1.36v and lowered it to 16/19/19, increased to 1.38v, and went from 83ns to 64ns.

    For overclocking,
SK Hynix DJR 1xR8, so anything above 3600 CL <18 won't work, especially on non-K i3/i5 processors where the SA voltage is locked...
    Stable at 3600 15/17/17/32 53ns.
    Stable at 4266 18/24/24/42 1T 1.43v 74ns (63ns in Safe mode) 1
7/21/21/36 relatively stable but with very small differences and requires a little tweaking at 1.45v, which personally I don't see a reason for more stress and temperatures both on RAM and memory controller without stressing since SA voltage is locked...
