Description

Description

The Kingston FURY Beast is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Kingston FURY Beast provides speed at 3200MT/s, with CL16 and 32GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, available in certain RAMs, and supported by certain motherboards.

The Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 RAM has (XMP 2.0) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 2.0): 3200 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 2.0): 16-20-20
  • Voltage (XMP 2.0): 1.35V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 34.1mm, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • The BIOS must support overclocking so that the memory can reach 3200MHz. Otherwise, it runs at around 2600MHz.

  • I received a graphics card as a gift and I needed a memory with sufficient size to support it. After a little research, I ended up with this particular product. I believe that at this price, it is the best possible choice. I don't experience any lag even with all graphics settings on full in demanding games (such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, AC Valhalla, Metro: Exodus, and Far Cry 6).

  • Well, first of all, I should mention that this memory is identical to the previous model: "HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4 RAM with 3200 Speed for Desktop" that has been discontinued. with product code: HX432C16FB3/16 (For more information, see the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/s9oeqx/hyperx_fury_and_kingston_beast_the_same_ram/)

My setup has one Hyper X Fury 16gb (the old one) and one Kingston Fury Beast 16gb (new) for a total of 32gb. It works flawlessly, plug and play. I thought I would need to enter the BIOS to enable XMP, but it turned out not to be necessary.

What else can I say, the memory is fantastic. Legendary Kingston build quality. I highly recommend it.
