Description

The Yato YT-73092 is a professional LED clamp meter equipped with measurement clamps that allow the measurement of alternating current intensity in a single conductor using the induction method. As a result, it allows you to measure much higher current than conventional electrical meters. It also allows you to measure AC and DC voltage, resistance, and check the operation of diodes. This is useful for detecting faulty components in electrical installations

Integrated functions

  • TRUE RMS - a meter with this function calculates the true value of AC voltage and current for both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. The device first measures the true value of the sinusoidal wave at multiple time intervals → then squares the measurement results → adds them up → calculates the average value → and finally takes the square root of the mean result. The measurement result is a true RMS voltage/current, even for distorted sinusoidal or square waveforms.
  • NCV - non-contact detection of alternating voltage using the induction method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated conductor, and can also indicate the phase of the conductor
  • LowZ - AC and DC voltage measurement in low resistance mode. The phenomenon of ghost voltage can make it difficult to diagnose the electrical network, e.g. in industrial buildings. It consists of the appearance of voltage in an unconnected cable, where the voltage was caused by the cable that was connected to the network through the same channel.
The LowZ function reduces the complex resistance of the meter's test leads by 10 times compared to the standard measurement function, then the meter, by sampling the voltage, takes a slightly higher current and thus discharges the load accumulated in the conductor. As a result, we have a voltage measurement without the so-called ghost voltage. V.F.C. - the function is applicable when measuring the output voltage for a motor controller, which uses frequency and voltage variation to control the motor speed (VFD controllers). After activating the function, the meter filters out high-frequency disturbances, e.g. from the PWM signal, and leaves only the low frequency. This allows the filter to accurately measure the voltage/current RMS flowing in the motor. AUTO - automatic range adjustment. If you measure unknown values with a manual range wheel, take measurements sequentially from the highest range to the range that gives the most accurate result - otherwise, you risk damaging the device. However, in the case of a multimeter with AUTO function, it is sufficient to take one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. By default, the meter starts in AUTO mode. SEL - change the measurement function, e.g. from AC voltage measurement to DC, change the diode test to continuity test or measure resistance. HOLD - store the current measured value on the screen
