Designed by a dentist, the Muellerguard® Mouthguard helps reduce the risk of dental injuries during sports. Its thin front wall design does not affect speech or breathing, while the thick rear area absorbs shocks.
- Quick-fit copolymer resin for comfortable wear
- Oral trauma is reduced through a vented shock-absorbing "cushion"
- Perfect fit provides better protection against blunt impacts
- Low profile helps reduce gagging
Fitting instructions: Fill a pot with some water. Allow the water to boil. Remove the water from the heat source. Immediately place the mouthguard into the water for 90 seconds. Carefully remove the mouthguard from the hot water with a slotted spoon. Cool the mouthguard under running water for only 1-2 seconds to bring the surface temperature to a comfortable level. Lick your lips before placing the mouthguard in your mouth. Carefully align the mouthguard with the center line of the upper teeth. Place the mouthguard over and around the upper teeth (tab facing upwards) and press firmly first into the molars and then into the front teeth. Bring the lower jaw forward and up into the base of the mouthguard with teeth aligned with the lower channel. Close your mouth while biting firmly on the mouthguard. Suck hard and use your fingers to press the edges of the mouthguard against the teeth and the roof of the mouth through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds. Remove the mouthguard and cool under running water for 30 seconds. Replace it in the mouth and test for a snug, firm fit. Repeat steps if the fit is not accurate.
