Description

Designed by a dentist, the Muellerguard® Mouthguard helps reduce the risk of dental injury during the most demanding sports. Its thin front wall construction does not affect speech or breathing, while the thick rear area helps absorb shocks.

  • Quick-fitting co-polymer resin for a comfortable fit
  • Reduction of oral trauma through ventilated "pillow" that absorbs shocks
  • The perfect fit provides better protection against blunt impacts
  • Low profile helps reduce gagging

Fitting Instructions:

  • Fill a saucepan with some water. Allow the water to boil.
  • Remove the water from the heat source.
  • Immediately place the mouthguard in the water for 90 seconds. Do not remove it before 90 seconds.
  • Carefully remove the mouthguard from the hot water using a slotted spoon.
  • Cool the mouthguard under tap water for 1-2 seconds just to bring the surface temperature to a comfortable level.
  • Lick your lips before placing the mouthguard in your mouth.
  • Looking in the mirror, carefully align the mouthguard with the centerline of the upper teeth.
  • Place the mouthguard over and around the upper teeth (tongue side up) and press firmly first against the molars and then against the front teeth.
  • Bring your lower jaw forward and up to the base of the mouthguard with teeth aligned with the lower channel.
  • Close your mouth while biting down firmly on the mouthguard.
  • Suck hard and use your fingers to press the edges of the mouthguard onto the teeth and roof of the mouth through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
  • Remove the mouthguard and cool under tap water for 30 seconds.
  • Replace in your mouth and test for a good, secure fit.
  • Repeat steps 1 to 10 if the fit is not accurate.
