This dictionary includes terms of Byzantine architecture and sculpture that are used in contemporary literature. Based on the Greek language, the corresponding terms and their synonyms are given in nine languages: English, Albanian, French, German, Italian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, and Serbian. The entries are accompanied by drawings and photographs that have been selected to serve as interpretive tools. The edition aims to fill a significant gap in the literature, as there is no equivalent work at the Greek and international level, and it will be an extremely useful tool for researchers in Byzantine archaeology. The goal of the dictionary is, on the one hand, to record the terms used to describe specific forms and types in order to serve as a stimulus for the creation of a treasury of common terms, and on the other hand, to preserve the richness of national languages through synonymous terms. At the same time, it will enhance linguistic diversity within the framework of European multiculturalism, facilitating the writing and study of works written in these national languages.
