Red Sea's NO3: PO4-X product is a unique carbon compound used by nutrient reduction bacteria. It prevents nuisance algae and allows control of zooxanthellae for optimal coral growth and coloration, while ensuring the correct ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus at every stage.

The composition also includes other organically bound elements that play a significant role in the reduction process. These trace elements ensure stable bacterial multiplication, complete conversion of nitrates into nitrogen gas, and the absorption and utilization of phosphates by the bacteria.
