Vitex Primer Grip 360 primer provides adhesion on difficult, non-absorbent surfaces such as galvanized iron, aluminium, copper, melamine, ceramics, fibreglass, bathroom tiles and polystyrene. It can also be applied to plaster, MDF, marine-grade plywood, glass, PVC and previously painted surfaces, covering and filling them while blocking old stains. This matt, water-based primer is formulated with modified acrylic resins and can be tinted for better coverage by the topcoat.
Dilute with 5–10% water for application by roller or brush, and 10–15% for airless spray. Apply one or two coats using a roller, brush or airless spray. The surface must be clean, dry and smooth, free of dust, oil and loose material, and completely dry before priming. Once fully dry, sand the surface and remove the dust. Water-based paint can be applied after 24 hours, and Vitex solvent-based paint after 48 hours. Do not use nitrocellulose paints or two-component solvent-based paints. Apply at 5–35 °C and at a relative humidity below 80%. For outdoor use, do not apply if rain or frost is expected within the next 48 hours.
