Description

The tincture of Mugwort (Artemisia Vulgaris) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb Artemisia (or Mugwort). In modern herbal therapy, Mugwort is used in two main cases. The first concerns the regulation of menstruation (period). It is also used as a tonic for the digestive system.

It helps both as an emmenagogue (induces bleeding when normal menstruation has not appeared) and in the treatment of hypermenorrhea (excessive bleeding).

Additionally, it is considered to facilitate the digestion of fatty substances - for this reason, it belongs to the so-called "herbs for weight loss". At the same time, it is believed to increase bile production, activate the digestive system, and address indigestion, heartburn, and bloating.

Wormwood tincture is derived from the immersion of wormwood in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the above herbs dissolve in the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.

Dosage

The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
