Wurth Standard Line sealing silicone is a one-component acetoxy-curing silicone designed for sealing applications involving high operating temperatures. It remains elastic at temperatures up to 250 °C in continuous operation and up to 300 °C for a few days. It adheres without primer to glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, glass blocks, roof tiles, varnished or painted wood, and several plastics, including epoxy, polyester, and polyacrylate.
It is used to seal flanges on machinery, cars, and pumps, as well as valve covers, exhaust pipes, and ventilation ducts. It is resistant to oil, grease, water, antifreeze, and gear oil. Porous surfaces must first be treated with a silicone primer. Surfaces must be dry, clean, and free of dust, oil, and grease before application.
