There are products that you understand are exceptional from the first moment you hold them in your hands. The iO by oral-b is one of them. Oral-b and the accompanying brush heads have never lacked in results. With the iO, the company takes a step further, but mainly makes a leap in terms of functionality quality. It makes the previous series seem like it has many vibrations. This is not an indifferent point: the more comfortable the tool is, the more one uses it, and this is very important for a toothbrush. The programs of the iO 8 work as they should, the brush head in the package is very good, but I will come back when I use the gentle care as well. The pressure sensor is also improved compared to the previous generation, where I think it intervened somewhat slowly. The screen is convenient and easy to read, but it is not the element that makes the iO 8 stand out. I mean, it's good to see which program you have selected, and it's not bad to see the timer or the "Good morning" in the morning, but a toothbrush is a toothbrush: even if it didn't have them, it wouldn't be a point worth criticizing. A big advantage is the fast charger that charges the toothbrush in just 3 hours, which is a huge improvement compared to the 12-hour chargers of the past. The fact that it is magnetic is welcome, but even if it wasn't, it wouldn't be a problem. On the contrary, now it requires some attention because it is not difficult to overturn the toothbrush with a light push. I used the app with some hesitation, but it is practical and the guidance really works! However, I believe that, just like in the past (with an oral-b smart brush that I had), I will use it occasionally and at some point I may even forget that it exists. For me, the advantages of the iO 8 are effectiveness, excellent quality of operation, a very good pressure sensor, and fast charging. The screen is a neutral characteristic, although I really like the ability to see which program I have selected. And we come to the disadvantage... It couldn't be anything other than the price. Okay, I got it just under €150, but it is still an expensive purchase. I know (based on my experience with other oral-b brushes I had) that it will last for years, but I won't disregard those who won't spend this amount to buy it. Of course, competitive proposals (like Philips, for example) are also at a similar price level, so it is not something unprecedented. If someone wants an effective and ergonomic toothbrush at a lower price, they can choose one of the other oral-b models. If, on the other hand, they want the quality of the iO series, are not primarily interested in fast charging, and want to spend less money, they turn to the iO 6. In general, there are now many oral hygiene tools, and most of them are extremely effective in removing plaque. However, of course, we need to use them. No toothbrush from the shelf or the cabinet can help us. And one last thing: the best toothbrush, the most expensive toothbrush, cannot diminish the importance of using dental floss. In the interdental spaces, it has the first say, and no other means - no matter how advertised - can replace it at the given moment.

update 20/7/23: Both toothbrushes that I had purchased had the exact same problem: the battery doesn't last even a week. The worst part is not how long the battery lasts. The worst part is that you start brushing with 40-45% battery and it dies in 5 seconds. So now, we are forced to have a backup toothbrush on hand. I will try to find time to take them to the nearest service center, but in my opinion, we should have the option to send them via courier and be done with it. This whole process of finding the receipt, taking it to the service center, and then going back to pick it up again seems like a way to make it difficult so that only a few people will decide to utilize the warranty. Sorry guys, but the most advanced oral b toothbrush turned out to be the most unreliable.
