▫️A few words about the book: Beach Read is one of the most romantic books with happy vibes and an extremely summery mood that you will read! The story is about two authors, January and Gus, who write completely different genres in their books. January writes romance novels while Gus writes more "literary" ones. By swapping writing styles, they will start to discover things not only about how they write novels, but also about themselves!
▪️Style/Writing: The book is full of emotion with a good dose of humor. It is simple and easy to read, and the English language used is everyday, lower level.
▫️Why I loved it: I liked it because it emphasized the beautiful moments of everyday life and not so much on what the ending is. It was quite pleasant, ideal for summer with a very nice couple!
▪️Why you should read it: Hmm maybe because it's a very cool love story? Maybe because it has full-on summer vibes? For me, it's the ideal book if you want to start with this author. It's one of those books that will keep you perfect company on the beach in the summer as it has enough realism that might be missing from some others of its kind!

Sweet, summery, just perfect for vacation!

I confess that so far it is my favorite from Emily Henry, and rightly so because this time I found the story so sweet, romantic, summery, and the characters so well-written with incredible chemistry and romance! Our story follows two writers experiencing a writer's block. Specifically, the romantic January, a writer of romance novels who, after her father's death, decides to move to the small town where she comes from, and there she meets her gloomy and mysterious neighbor Gus, with whom she has a past and who is now a successful fiction writer. The two of them make a deal to try to write each other's genre over the summer. This book is the ultimate summer romance! The sexy guy next door falls for the sunshine. Set against the backdrop of the enchanting lake and two vacation homes, the two of them fall deeply in love and learn to love from the beginning.

I loved their story so much, and I confess that I needed to read it! So, 5 stars rightfully for my now favorite summer love story from a beloved author!
