Description

Description

It's a camera. But much more powerful

OnePlus Nord 2 is equipped with a performance-enhancing technology and added a 50 MP triple AI camera system with a Sony IMX766 sensor, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a touch of AI magic.

Awakened sensors

The name Sony IMX766 sensor is a bit misleading. It's more like a black hole that absorbs 56% more light for colorful images, extra sharpness and smooth low-light shooting. And it's at the core of the Nord 2's main camera.

Make the darkness obey you

Nightscape Ultra mode colours your photos with vivid colour and contrast in light as low as 1 lux (the light of a candle).

Night is the right time

Be a ray of light in the darkness. Use Night Portrait to optimize lighting, focus and skin tone to make your night portrait shots stand out with color and sharpness.

So you and your friends can show up more

Try some photos with Group Shot 2.0 with the 32 MP front camera. The camera detects and optimizes up to 5 faces for selfies, normalizing the scene.

Record all opinions

And get the story right. Capture 1080p video from the main and front cameras simultaneously with Dual View Video and create dynamic videos that showcase more of your world.

Quiet on the set, please!

You don't feel like Spielberg with a smartphone! Try the AI-powered Video Enhancement mode and watch as it uses the Nord 2's OIS to create cinematic genius HDR at up to 1080p resolution.

Get ready for fast charging at space speed

One of the fastest chargers of all time. The Warp Charge 65⁵ charger charges the Nord 2's 4500 mAh battery for a day in just 15 minutes.

Welcome to a new dimension

Nord 2 is powered by the fastest and most powerful MediaTek chip ever made, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI.

A screen you can skate on

Speaking of smooth operation, Nord 2 is equipped with a 6.43" Fluid AMOLED 6.43" display, FHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate that will make your fingers feel like your fingers are slipping as you scan the screen.

No more reflection

Use the Smart Ambient screen and watch the screen reflection disappear. It uses AI technology and light detection to optimize the readability of the Nord 2 screen whenever you're out adventuring in nature.

  • The mobile phone is truly value for money! The only negative thing I will say about its battery life is that after 1.5 years, it needs to be charged during the day. The good thing is that with fast charging, it charges in 15 minutes

The mobile phone is excellent and truly crazy value for money. I am a normal user, max 1 hour of social media and then only calls, WhatsApp, Messenger, email, etc. It doesn't disappoint, it's quite fast, quick app switching, and most importantly, it doesn't raise the temperature. I was quite skeptical about the mediatek, but in the end, it hasn't disappointed at all so far. It will meet the needs of an average user.

I bought it based on the value for money in terms of the camera. I am satisfied with this aspect. To my great disappointment, I found out that the Google Wallet does not work on the phone's OS12. I insert my cards and after a while, it "throws" them out. I should note that it worked fine on the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, 2017 model, and the strangest thing is that no one worldwide knows anything about it, neither OnePlus nor Google, or they are not interested in fixing it. The menu is more difficult than Xiaomi's, with many settings, and sometimes there is no sound during calls. Another negative aspect is that you need to download drivers on the PC and enter developer mode on the phone to disable an option in the menu in order to connect to a PC. I did not expect these things from a premium Chinese mobile brand, and if they apply to the more expensive models as well.

After Pixel 4a, possibly the best stock Android phone for its price. Incredible speed and very good construction. Stock Android with powerful customization. The only negative is that Vodafone has not activated 5G.

    Version 8/128.
Screen very good, even under sunlight.
Speaker in video, music very good.
Fast (but not like the 9pro I had with Snapdragon).
Battery life with 3 hours of screen, several calls and browsing, with aod and 5g on... easily one day. With aod off and 4g much longer.
Photo very good with moderate lighting and above. With low lighting, average (but good for the money).
I recommend it. It is much better than the a52s and a53 I had, which had no good signal and the battery drained quickly.
    For the money, it's top-notch.
The only (small negative) is that the speaker volume in calls is a bit low, even with speakerphone on.
There are cases available. I got a nilkin with a cover for the camera. The store had others too.

Perhaps the best mobile phone up to 350 euros! Processor that doesn't lag anywhere, combined with 8 GB RAM, the phone is amazing! Flawless screen, super fast charging, very good battery life, excellent photography, impeccable video with mechanical stabilization! After a year of use, I praise this particular company! Also, recently I got my hands on a top-notch mid-range phone from another company with Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. The difference in performance is minimal compared to the Dimensity 1200, but it costs in terms of battery life and device overheating! Additionally, the company's software is lighter with less bloatware compared to Xiaomi's equivalent!

I will be brief with the positives of the phone as it has amazing specs. Very fast, beautiful screen, incredible camera, lightning-fast fingerprint sensor, 25-minute charging. Overall, it gives the feeling of a flagship phone.

Let's move on to the negatives:
    - The battery doesn't last as long as I expected, with moderate use it barely lasts a day.
    - The phone is currently running on Android 11, which has 2 bugs. Firstly, the lock screen takes 2-3 seconds to turn on when the phone is idle (otherwise it works fine), and secondly, the auto rotate doesn't work.
    - It doesn't support 5G (I have Vodafone).

I am waiting for the next update to fix the delay on the lock screen. If this issue is resolved, this phone will deserve 5 stars.

    **Update**
I spoke with Oneplus support and they told me how to fix the autorotate and lockscreen bugs, so I am changing my review to 5 stars.

For its price, it's a one-way street. I had my concerns about the chip, but it really left me satisfied, it just doesn't fit anywhere. Cameras comparable to mobile phones at twice the price, especially in daylight photography, it's excellent, not for night shots though. Light and essentially set up with OnePlus software, in my opinion, the most beautiful setup on android. The screen is very balanced with normal earthy tones... in Netflix-type videos, it's relaxing and with perfect resolution. Finally, the battery easily lasts a heavy day of use and still has 25% left, but fast charging will save you in any scenario... Finally, under 300 euros, it is the best possible choice.

    Value for money.
    Works flawlessly.

The only issue I have noticed (although it may be due to the android version) is some minor crashes in non-Google apps related to music. The mini player does not always appear in the notification area. So you have to open the app to change songs, stations, etc. (TuneIN, apple music, etc.)

One last thing. There is an issue with Vodafone. 5G is not activated for this phone. It works with Cosmote's 5G.
I have contacted Vodafone, but I don't see any progress.

The hardware is good, but the OOS is mediocre in terms of customization. The phone has a MediaTek processor, so it is rare to find a good custom ROM (that works with all the phone's features).

The OOS also has a downside of "killing" background processes to save battery (but in the end, it doesn't really save battery). This means that location tracking, automation like Tasker or home assistant, syncing with a smartwatch/band, certain notifications, and generally things you want to happen in the background while not using the phone, experience issues. (https://dontkillmyapp.com/problem)

The camera is decent, but the "hdr processing" is terrible and unfortunately, every time you open the camera, you have to disable it because it doesn't remember the setting.

It is definitely not worth 400€.

The screen is terrible. Nothing can be seen in the sun. The black is gray and doesn't resemble an LED screen at all. The processor is painfully slow. Simple example: I type a name in the contacts search and it takes 2-3 seconds to show up. Unbelievable considering the money and reviews I read... Definitely not worth 450 euros. Maybe a 200 euro one, at most.
Edit: The sound from the wired headphones is like being inside a well! I've tried 4 different headphone brands, including its own, and got the same result. I'm so frustrated for spending so much money on this device. My Mate 10 Pro Huawei from 4 years ago (except for charging speed) is far superior...
Despite all that, the battery charges at crazy speeds. But still, my wife has the realme X50 for 190 euros with the same charging speed. Overall, NO

The Nord 2 is seemingly a good phone for its price. The Dimensity 1200 AI performs well, the camera is impressive (no comparison to other Xiaomi or Realme software). The battery charges fully in half an hour and lasts a day. I was very worried about overheating or possible... explosion, but luckily I haven't noticed anything concerning in the past few months. The battery heats up at normal levels during charging. OxygenOS is very good, it reminds me of PixelOS with extra settings. I hope it remains good in the next ColorOS version. I would like software updates a bit more frequently, to be honest...

Very good hardware features at a very good price, BUT its construction is mediocre to poor (typical Chinese) - the plastic casing is of poor quality, resulting in easy scratches. Additionally, the screen suffers compared to the competition - it only supports 90hz instead of 120hz, and the display colors are "poorer" compared to Samsung phones

I didn't intend to write a review for this specific phone, but if I don't do it, it would be a sin and those who are thinking of buying it won't hear about it..
So guys, this mobile phone is worth more than it objectively costs!
It is a mid-range phone in terms of money only, but it offers you exactly what a flagship does.
    + Incredible screen
    + Unreal battery!
+ Perfect camera, front and back, day and night (maybe it loses a bit at night)
    + Amazing speaker
+ Charges until you take a bath
    + Very fast

The only negative thing personally is the lack of 60 fps in 4K video, nothing else guys.

Kids, the phone is fantastic. It has an incredible screen and a day and night camera. It is very fast. However, what impresses me the most is how quickly it charges, within 20 minutes you have a full charge.
I come from the poco f1, I can say that it has amazing features, but the battery life is still short even under normal conditions, and that is the only negative thing I find.
It does everything for its price and there is no reason to go for something more expensive.

Vfm simply better than the equivalent Xiaomi.

Oxygen OS is decent, not particularly great, good screen/camera, charges incredibly fast, okay battery, comes with a case, I wish it had a type-c to 3.5mm jack adapter in the box, looking forward to the Nord 3

Device owner for 2 months. It really flies... Incredibly fast, it doesn't close the RAM applications in the background to restart. The camera is excellent during the day, but the night one is really good. The selfie, despite the 32mp, is not that good, its colors are always washed out. The screen is satisfying with deep blacks and vibrant colors. The operating system with the 90hz refresh rate offers a very smooth user experience, like a flagship. I haven't encountered any bugs. As for the battery, it's okay, nothing outstanding in terms of duration. 4-5 hours of screen on time without games. However, the problem is small, in 15 minutes it has reached almost 80% charge... You don't even need to leave it overnight, 10-20 minutes are enough to give you hours of usage. Really, for the price, it's an excellent device!

Simply excellent.. Owner of a pocoF1 which works non-stop since the day I opened it and if it didn't stop receiving updates, I would still have it. After a lot of searching, I ended up with the nord2 and I believe I made a very good choice for its price. I won't go into technical details as there are many reviews. Normal use, photos, social, calls. The experience is excellent. I became a fan of OnePlus

Impeccable flagship premium mobile that outshines many devices. Nothing kids, simply perfect. Here are two ultra night mode photos from home with the bridge and a few more. The night is a dream!!!! I have the 128gb version which is more than enough because even with 4k videos and photos from the previous one, it didn't fill up easily in two years. The above version is an exaggeration in terms of price. However, I got it at a European price which was 380. Simply perfect!
