However, the greatest challenge they find each of them has is Jude, a frighteningly talented lawyer who as an adult is increasingly broken, with his mind and body scarred from a horrific childhood. Yanagihara thoroughly immerses us in the lives and thoughts of these characters, making it difficult for us to leave them behind.

Mainly, we follow as the main character the life of Jude, whose story is the hardest you will ever read.
    ▪️Style/Writing of the book: The writing is incredibly literary and atmospheric. Even though it is a large book, from the very first page you realize that it will be a heavy book, with difficult themes, as it does not prepare you for what is coming in the slightest.
    ▫️Why I loved it: It is one of the most genuine books I have read. The way it doesn't sugarcoat situations makes it authentic and even though everything seems wrong, there are those small moments of hope and humanity that give you the courage to keep reading.
