Description

Ideal for wildlife, sports, landscapes, motorsports, and countless other photographic endeavors, the Sony E-mount 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens from Sigma offers the features and image quality that professionals demand.

This lens provides high performance throughout the zoom range at all apertures, while ghosting, reflections, and various types of aberrations are well controlled.

An updated and redesigned autofocus system offers speed and accuracy, incorporating an AF actuator driven by a stepping motor, as well as a high-precision magnetic sensor.

Optical image stabilization provides compensation of approximately four stops, with two standard OS modes for both handheld shooting and panning situations.

A new zoom torque switch gives users the ability to adjust the level of resistance of the zoom ring:

  • Lock (locked at the wide end for transport)
  • Tight (prevents zoom creep)
  • Smooth (for easy, smooth zooming)

Additional control elements within the lens include:

  • focus limiter switch
  • OS mode switch
  • Custom switch for custom OS settings
  • three customizable AFL buttons

Incredible lens, heavy in the hand but does an amazing job. Very good and fast stabilization, quite sharp, I use it with Sony A7IV.

    Excellent lens.
    +Sharpness.
    +Quality construction.
+At 150mm it can also do some macro.
    But:
-It does not work flawlessly on all bodies, on Sony A7ii it worked well, on Sony A7iv there is an issue with stabilization.
    -Weight

This review is about the mount: Leica L

    An excellent zoom lens,

+ Sharp at 600mm with F/6.3, at F/8 the difference is negligible.
+ The zoom and focus rings feel very nice.
    + Excellent stabilization.
+ Firmware 1.2 improves the lens on all levels: focus accuracy and speed.
+ The ratio between price and image quality.

    - Weight
    - With the lens hood, although very well made, I can't say I liked the way it fits in the transport position.

The total with the Panasonic S1R body I have reaches 3.4 kg. Quite heavy but not prohibitive.

Very good lens, I use it on Sony a7iii, the lens is a gem!
    It has two significant drawbacks:
    A. Weight - It is quite heavy and combined with the camera, it will tire you out.
    B. Filter cost - It has a large diameter and the filters are very expensive.
Apart from these two, for wildlife photography, it is the top value for money
