"Clinical Child Psychiatry" refers to the mental disorders of childhood and adolescence as well as the psychosocial problems and unique situations that infants, children, and adolescents often face. Through the pages of the book, the specific characteristics of the processes occurring in the developmental trajectory of the human being are highlighted, with particular attention given to the clinical expression of problematic or pathological versions and their outcomes.
At the same time, the interdependence and interaction of biological, psychological, familial, and social factors in the manifestation of each disorder are emphasized. At the end of each chapter, the main points are presented, providing a summary and a general overview, as well as a small text with the clinical perspective, reflecting the author's personal stance and clinical experience.
It contains everything she wishes to convey beyond knowledge, as well as those elements that structure the approach and attitude of the mental health professional towards the suffering child and their family.
The author, with long-standing clinical and teaching practice, shares her rich experience in this personal book, advocating that knowledge, no matter how objective, cannot be separated from the ethical and deontological dimensions that accompany it.
