Description

A distorted tale of sadistic Wizards and the monsters they create. In a city so grim it is known only as the Hole, a tribe of Wizards kidnaps people from the streets to use them as test subjects in abhorrent experiments in the dark arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Kaiman, a man with a reptilian head and severe amnesia. To break the curse, they hunt and eliminate the Wizards in the Hole, hoping that they will eventually kill the right one. However, when En, the chief Wizard, learns of a reptilian creature slaughtering his people, he sends a team of cleaners into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds. Kaiman and Nikaido return to the Hole, where Dok and Kazukabe manage to cure Nikaido of the deadly fungus. However, an observer outside the Central Hospital is watching and waiting for the opportunity to kidnap her. Fujita returns to the Hole to finally kill Kaiman himself. He gets close when he is hired for a baseball match between the Central Hospital and the Peace Hospital of the Hole, but his plans change when he spots an old friend. Meanwhile, in the dimension of the Wizards, a small accident transforms Noi into a hideous monster. It is up to Shin to stop her before she kills everyone.

This review is about the add to your collection: Vol. 1

A dark story with intense, harsh images, set in a post-apocalyptic environment. The introduction is somewhat chaotic, lacking clear direction, however, the main conflict between humans and the wizards experimenting on them is later revealed. Nevertheless, the plot is uninteresting, it fails to connect you with the protagonist or create that sense of mystery or suspense.
