For me, who weighs 110 kilos, the foam became useless for me in 4 months; for some others, it is the best.

Owner for about a year, I must have run/walked close to a 4-digit number of kilometers. The soles are impeccable and absorb all shocks, they are very comfortable both for running and walking. The only downside is their build quality for the money they cost. The heel has completely worn out and the shoes are ready to be thrown away. I would gladly buy them again.

After the Bondi, the Clifton is the best choice among many other athletic shoes. I am a swimmer, but for the walking I do, I consider the Clifton and the Bondi to be perfect.

I am 42 and quite overweight. I have been searching for good running shoes for a while and I read many reviews and found them in the Clifton 8. The feeling is unprecedented, as if you are walking on cushions that, however, do not keep you on the ground but give you propulsion. If they last long enough for the use I want, which is running up to 7-8 kilometers 3-4 times a week, I will not buy from any other company again. Update 08/26/2023: Unfortunately, after a short period of running 5-6 times from 5-6 kilometers, they started hitting me in the arch of my foot. Unfortunately, I remembered someone's comment about the feeling of walking on a ball

Good shoe. I had them in size 7!
    I usually wear size 43.
The previous ones in size 44 never hurt me. I decided to try size 43.5, initially they hurt me a little. However, after a few workouts, they are okay and fit better on the foot.
Prefer a size larger than your normal size.
    Anyway, their comfort is incomparable.

Bought for 80.40 euros. Shoe for medium distances, good fabric with breathability but a big downside is that it is very hard, plus the holes in the laces make angles and rub on the foot and the issue is that all the shoes I have from the company have the same issue, unacceptable. Now the tongue has elastic and it is tight and it saddens me when walking, the heel has protection and does not hit. The sole is very good and soft, withstands hard training and running. It is very good on all terrains.

I use the running shoes for 8-10 hours at work for orthostasis and for everyday use. I do not use them for running, and the following review will be based on these uses.

From the Bondi 7, I found the Clifton 8 on a good offer and decided to try it. They look very similar as shoes. The Bondi just has a little more room in the toes and is softer to step on, but that doesn't mean the Clifton lacks in shock absorption. It is actually very good. The Bondi took about 10 days to break in, while this one, maybe because it is lighter and softer in its materials, felt great from the first moment I wore it.

I don't have an opinion on their durability... but I can say that the sole has a very good grip on dry surfaces.

Anyone looking for shoes for work and orthostasis, buying the Clifton (or even the Bondi) will definitely not be disappointed.

During the first 3 workouts, until my foot got used to the hard plastic in the arch area, I experienced a lot of pain to the point where I was considering withdrawing them. I gave them another chance and I didn't regret it. Excellent shock absorption, velvety tread.

I wanted to finally try a Hoka and I got the Clifton 8.
    1. I ran 6km on dry asphalt. They are lightweight with great shock absorption but they caused discomfort in the arch of my foot, especially on the right sole. After a while, you get used to it but it's not pleasant.
    2. I ran 9km on wet asphalt, after rain, like morning humidity.
Their performance was very poor, they were slippery. Poor grip, you lose your "pace".
From 5.5 to 6.5! Not recommended for wet ground.

As correctly stated here, the shoe is NOT intended for individuals with wide feet. On the contrary, it is great for individuals with neutral feet or high arches. Unfortunately, I fell for it as some websites mention that the shoe is suitable for people with wide feet. Okay, it's not that it's unbearable, but there are much better shoes for individuals with this specific foot morphology.

This is a very good running shoe.
It is for the high arch category, meaning it provides special support for the arch for people with high arches.
It is NOT suitable for people with flat feet.
The construction quality is well-known Hoka, good grip, and personally, I find it very stylish.
Ideal for training and for runners with relatively high weight.

    For the expensive running categories,
After Adidas "discomfort in the ankles",
After Asics tight fit fatigue almost throughout the body,
    Nike Air Winflow 6 and
Nike Air Pegasus 37 are perfectly comfortable for the body ALL day in motion and standing for over 14 hours a day?!!!!!!!
This week I am trying the HOKA Clide Clifton 8...
First experience GOOD a little more elevated but stable step from the second Tuesday absorption of shocks uniform pressure depending on the change of the body's center of gravity balance... etc.
For starters, the first impressions! (POSITIVE)!!!

WARNING! This shoe is designed for individuals with a high arch. It has a rigid arch support that tightly presses against the foot. I wonder how marathon runners can wear such shoes, especially those with a normal arch. What good are the 24mm sole thickness at the forefoot when my arch is stepping on a ping pong ball! After a quick search, I found that there are others facing the same issue, even running shoe critics mention it. After just 15 km, I had to withdraw for fear of getting injured. It's a shame for the 100 euros, but above all, it's about health!

After 25 years of running, I have to say the following: I have worn many good shoes over the years that I have been involved in running as a hobby. Everyone's opinion is personal depending on the usage and consistency in what they do. For me, there is no more honest training shoe than the Hoka Glifton. It has everything I could ask for, it is lightweight, cushioned, shock-absorbing, and very durable. Especially with the Glifton 8, I have done over 1,500 kilometers and still feel great in them. At the usual price of 100-110 euros, there is no more honest shoe. Because I participate in races from time to time, I have noticed that Hoka is now the number one company for medium and long distances. Hoka has learned and now more than 60% of runners wear them.

In the positives or incredible shock absorption, they keep the feet rested during long workouts and matches. Also, very lightweight for this type of shoe. The only possibly negative aspect is the moderate width of the shoe, it may hit you on the metatarsals. For size, go 1/3 above normal. From what I have noticed, they need quite a few kilometers to break in.

The flagship of HOKA and definitely the best shoe to get to know the company. It works well for all types of training but excels in long runs where it really shows its teeth.
If you're torn between this and the Bondi 7 (a very common dilemma), don't even think about it, the Clifton is the answer. After trying out two pairs of the Bondi, I can safely say that it's not a running shoe. It's good for posture and walking, but that's about it. Nobody loses with the Clifton.

The comments below are overly exaggerated and completely incorrect. It is primarily a shoe for orthopedics and movement, for people who work long hours, etc. In this aspect, it is perfect, the issue is that after 4 months, the sole will start to wear down and in 8 months, the shoe will be completely worn out, but it will have made its money and more. As for tempo runs, etc., there are other brands with the same pattern like Brooks, etc. that will do a better job and I think the cushion is excessive and you lose responsiveness and stability. The same company releases more ready models for such work, like Elevon, etc. There is also the Bondi for orthopedics, but it loses a lot in shape and is even uglier in my opinion

The most stable and convenient thing I have ever worn on my feet.
From now on, I doubt if I can wear anything inferior to these...

    Recommended!

Very good shoes for running and more. Obviously only on smooth road. I just think they are overpriced by about 15 - 20%, hence the four stars. And their design is very modern for my taste. But to each their own...

  • Owner for about a year, I must have run/walked close to a 4-digit number of kilometers. The soles are impeccable and absorb all shocks, they are very comfortable both for running and walking. The only downside is their build quality for the money they cost. The heel has completely worn out and the shoes are ready to be thrown away. I would gladly buy them again.

  • I am 42 and quite overweight.
