With a constant focus on assisting students in understanding the particularly difficult subject of "General Principles of Civil Law," the third edition of this book is now available. The proven love of law students for this work over the past fifteen years, which certainly justifies the author's teaching expectations, has been the driving force behind its renewal. The new edition was necessary in order for the work to be updated with current legislative and jurisprudential developments, as well as the latest literature, and to be coordinated with my corresponding textbook, which was recently released in a new edition (General Principles of Civil Law, 4th ed. 2012). On this occasion, five new practical issues were added: teleological contraction, protection of the defendant's personality, weakening of rights, distinction between absolute and relative nullity, and annulment of legal acts due to corruption. In preparing this edition and correcting the essays, I was substantially assisted by my former student and current collaborator, Sotirios El. Ioakeimidis, Lawyer and Deputy Notary, whom I warmly thank from this position.
