The energy present in the movement of the wind (wind energy) is converted into electrical energy by wind turbines. The wind rotates the blades of the wind turbine, which in turn rotate a motor that generates electricity. This electricity can be fed directly into the main power grid, stored in batteries, or even used to heat water.
