Maximum Paper Size determines the largest physical sheet dimensions that the machine mechanism can accept. By choosing a machine with a specific maximum size, you ensure that you can process that size, as well as all smaller sizes.

Example: If you choose a folding machine with Maximum Size A3, you can comfortably fold large A3 documents, as well as smaller ones such as A4 letters, A5 brochures, or cards. In contrast, a device with Maximum Size A4 will never allow an A3 sheet to pass through, due to the limited width of its feeder.
