    Very useful.
It has paper on one side. You place the other side on the fabric, run the iron over the paper, and when it cools a bit, you peel off the paper. The glue remains on the fabric and then, depending on what you want to do, you either fold the same fabric or put another one on top and iron again so that they stick together, etc.

I tried it on a cotton sweatpants, after watching 3 videos on YouTube about how to use it, since the instructions on the packaging are terrible. It only stuck on one side and not on the other where the iron was not pressing, meaning nothing happened. Then I simply removed it by pulling it with my hand and it came off easily. I don't know if it works on thin fabric pants, but it didn't work on mine.

I don't know how durable it will be over time on the fabric, but it is easy to use and effective.
