It is exactly what I wanted. Waterproof, comfortable on the hand because it is lightweight and the strap is soft, it has the familiar ABC functions that the Protrek watches have. Personally, I use the sunrise/sunset, the timers, the thermometer (you take it off your hand for 20 minutes to show correctly), and the alarms, especially the hourly notification. Because it is solar-powered, there is no issue with battery replacement, charging, etc.
This is the fourth solar Protrek watch that I have purchased in the last 10 years. I bought them not because I needed them, but out of consumerism because I really like them as watches. They all still work great and are in excellent condition, even their batteries are working normally, I haven't changed them.
I don't go hiking or mountaineering, but I do a lot of work in the garden at my country house and the watches often get wet and muddy. Also, I don't take it off when I go to the sea, I just rinse it off from the salt afterwards. So far, none of my Protrek watches have had any issues. I hope this one turns out well too.
I bought this particular one because it is considerably smaller than the others I have, so I can wear it to the office with a shirt. The screen is easy to read, with 1.5 degrees of presbyopia, and I have no issues. The few days that I wear it, I am thrilled.
Είναι ακριβως αυτο που ηθελα. Αδιαβροχο, άνετο στο χερι γιατι ειναι ελαφρυ και το λουρακι μαλακο, εχει τα γνωστα ABC functions που εχουν τα protrek. Προσωπικα χρησιμοποιω το sunrise/sunset, τα χρονομετρα, το θερμομετρο (το βγαζεις 20 λεπτα απο το χερι για δειξει σωστα) και τα alarms ειδικα την ειδοποιηση ανα ωρα. Επειδη ειναι ηλιακο δεν υπαρχει θεμα για αλλαγη μπαταριας, φορτισεις κτλ.
Ειναι το τέταρτο ηλιακο protrek που αγοραζω τα τελευταια 10 χρονια. Τα αγορασα οχι επειδη τα είχα αναγκη αλλα απο καταναλωτισμο επειδη μου αρεσουν πολυ σαν ρολογια. Ολα παιζουν ακομα μια χαρα και ειναι σε αριστη κατασταση, ακομα και οι μπαταριες τους δουλευουν κανονικα, δεν τις εχω αλλαξει.
Δεν κανω πεζοπορίες και ορειβασια ομως κανω αρκετες δουλειες στο εξοχικο στον κηπο και τα ρολογια συχνα γεμιζουν νερα και λασπες. Επίσης δεν το βγαζω οταν παω θαλασσα, μονο το ξεπλενω απο τα αλατια μετα. Μεχρι τωρα κανενα απο τα protrek μου δεν επαθε κατι. Ελπιζω και αυτο να βγει καλο.
Το συγκεκριμένο το αγορασα επειδη είναι αρκετα μικροτερο απο τα υπολοιπα που εχω και έτσι μπορω να το φοραω και στο γραφειο με πουκαμισο. Η οθονη ειναι ευαναγνωστη, με 1,5 βαθμο πρεσβυωπεια και δεν εχω θεμα. Τις λιγες μερες που το φοραω ειμαι ενθουσιασμενος.
